Lifetime License Fee:

This license is for yoga teachers who have completed a yoga teacher training program from any local yoga studio or school. This regiatration serves as a foundational, internationally recognized yoga teaching credential and supports teachers in beginning their professional teaching journey.
Eligibility Criteria for RTY – Registered Yoga Teacher License

- Who Can Apply – Qualification:
Any yoga teacher who has completed a certified yoga teacher training or an authorized yoga course from a recognized institute, school, or university is eligible to apply for the RTY license. - Teaching Experience Requirement:
- Have a minimum of 4 years of yoga teaching experience, completed after an initial 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
- Have served as an assistant yoga teacher on at least two occasions in yoga teacher training programs.
Annual License Fee: $ 119 USD
Lifetime License Fee: $ 599 USD – All Levels
This license is designed for yoga teachers who have completed formal yoga teacher training and have practical teaching experience in yoga and wellness education. The E-RTY license is recognized as an advanced-level teaching credential, demonstrating higher-level skill, expertise, and professional commitment.
Who Can Apply – Qualification:
To be eligible for the E-RTY (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) License, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Yoga Education:
Successfully completed a minimum of 500 hours of yoga teacher training through no more than three (3) recognized pathways of study, with valid documentation of all trainings. - Teaching Experience:
- Have a minimum of 10 years of yoga teaching experience, completed after an initial 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
- Have served as an assistant yoga teacher on at least six occasions in yoga teacher training programs.
- Total Teaching Hours:
Accumulated a minimum of 3,000 hours of verified yoga teaching experience across various modalities, styles, or settings, supported by proper documentation.
The Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) License is granted only through World Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Schools, and it also includes the Registered Yoga Teacher (RTY) credential for international recognition.
This license is awarded to yoga teachers who have completed their yoga teacher training with a WYA Certified Yoga School. CYT members receive official recognition as Certified Yoga Teachers and are eligible to apply for the E-RTY license as they gain teaching experience and develop professionally.
About the CYT Qualification – Certified Yoga Teacher License
The Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) License is awarded exclusively to students who successfully complete a Yoga Teacher Training Course (YTTC) conducted by a WYA Certified Yoga School (CYS).
Individuals cannot apply directly for the CYT License. It is granted as a result of completing an approved and accredited yoga teacher training program under the World Yoga Alliance educational standards.
Steps to Become a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT):
Step 1: Find a Certified Yoga School (CYS) offering a WYA Yoga Teacher Training Course.
Step 2: Successfully complete all course requirements and assessments as guided by your CYS.
Step 3: Upon completion, you will be officially awarded the CYT License from World Yoga Alliance.
Step 4: Login to your WYA account to enjoy exclusive member benefits.
