Recommended School Levels for Certification
Certification level placement is subject to document review, curriculum evaluation, and compliance with World Yoga Alliance certification standards. All Certified Yoga School (CYS) license fees listed below are valid for a lifetime license.
16–199 Hours – Yoga Teacher Training Course Provider
200–299 Hours – Yoga Teacher Training Course Provider

Certification Fee

Eligibility for Opening a WYA Certified Yoga School
Any Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) who has graduated from a WYA Certified Yoga School and holds a valid CYT License is eligible to advance their professional journey.
After successfully completing their yoga teacher training, if a teacher wishes to open a yoga studio, they can directly apply for the GYS Credential (Genuine Yoga Studio License).
However, to establish a Certified Yoga School (CYS) and conduct Yoga Teacher Training or other wellness education programs, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- The applicant must have completed at least two assistant teaching experiences with any WYA Certified Yoga School.
- Must have a minimum of 600 hours of verified teaching experience after course completion.
- Must hold a valid GYS License for a minimum of 3 consecutive years before applying for the CYS License.
