Exchange Yoga Experience Program

The Exchange Yoga Experience Program – EYEP Standard by World Yoga Alliance offers post-certification learning, global exchange, mentorship, and long-term support for yoga teachers.

Your Yoga Journey Begins After Certification

The Exchange Yoga Experience Program (EYEP) is a signature initiative of World Yoga Alliance (WYA) designed to support yoga teachers beyond their initial certification. EYEP offers newly certified teachers continued learning, global exposure, mentorship, and professional development through structured exchange opportunities with WYA Certified Yoga Schools worldwide.

Unlike traditional yoga registries that end their role after issuing certificates, WYA remains actively involved in your growth as a teacher, professional, and community contributor.

What is EYEP

Exchange Yoga Experience Program – EYEP is a post-certification exchange and learning support program created for WYA Certified Yoga Teachers (CYT). Through EYEP providers, participators may revisit the same level of yoga training, observe experienced faculty, assist in classes, and deepen their understanding in different cultural and educational environments.

Exchange Yoga Experience Program – EYEP is not a shortcut, a free certification, or a commercial retreat. It is a guided learning exchange rooted in yogic ethics, humility, and community support.

Why EYEP Matters

Many yoga teachers complete a 200-hour training in a short time frame and feel uncertain about what comes next. Exchange Yoga Experience Program bridges this gap by providing:

  • Continued learning without additional tuition fees
  • Exposure to diverse teaching styles and lineages
  • Real-world teaching observation and assistance
  • Increased confidence and professional maturity
  • A sense of belonging within a global yoga community

EYEP transforms certification into a long-term professional journey.

Karma Yoga & Community Contribution

EYEP is based on mutual exchange and respect. Participants are expected to:

  • Offer a minimum of two (2) hours per day of Karma Yoga or community support
  • Assist with classes, programs, or learning environments as assigned
  • Support host schools through respectful social media sharing

All work exchange activities must remain educational, ethical, and non-exploitative.
