WYA Community Feedback Response Policy – Introduction
World Yoga Alliance (WYA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and professional integrity across its global community. Feedback submitted by members, certified professionals, registered schools, partners, and the public is regarded as an essential component of WYA’s continuous quality assurance and governance processes.
All feedback received by WYA is formally recorded, reviewed, and evaluated in accordance with established internal procedures. Submissions may relate to certification standards, educational programs, community conduct, administrative services, or other areas within WYA’s scope of operations. Each submission is handled with due diligence, impartiality, and confidentiality.
WYA endeavors to acknowledge and respond to feedback in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring that concerns, recommendations, and observations are assessed fairly and, where applicable, contribute to policy refinement, service improvement, and organizational development.
By providing feedback, contributors support WYA’s mission to uphold ethical standards, promote accessibility, and strengthen trust within the global yoga community.
1. Scope of Feedback
This policy applies to feedback submitted to World Yoga Alliance (WYA) through official communication channels, including but not limited to online feedback forms, email correspondence, and designated community reporting systems.
The scope of feedback covered under this policy includes:
- Certification standards and credentialing processes
- Registered yoga schools, training programs, and educators
- Learning resources, events, and community initiatives
- Administrative services and operational procedures
- Professional conduct within the WYA Community
All feedback must be submitted in good faith, with accurate and verifiable information, to enable fair assessment and appropriate follow-up.
2. Exclusions
The following submissions fall outside the scope of this policy and may not receive a formal response:
- Anonymous or incomplete submissions lacking sufficient information for review
- Promotional, commercial, or marketing-related inquiries
- Legal claims, threats, or matters requiring formal legal proceedings
- Repetitive submissions previously reviewed and addressed
- Content that is abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, misleading, or submitted in bad faith
WYA reserves the right to redirect submissions to the appropriate department or decline engagement where feedback does not align with organizational policies or ethical standards.
3. Review and Response Timelines
World Yoga Alliance endeavors to handle all feedback in a timely and professional manner, in accordance with internal review protocols.
- Acknowledgment of receipt: Within 5–7 business days of submission
- Initial review and assessment: Within 14 business days of acknowledgment
- Formal response or resolution (where applicable): Within 30 business days, subject to the complexity of the matter
In cases requiring extended review, investigation, or third-party consultation, WYA will provide an update to the submitter outlining the revised timeframe.
4. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All feedback is handled with due regard to confidentiality and data protection obligations. Personal data is processed solely for the purposes of review, response, and organizational improvement, in accordance with applicable data protection laws and internal privacy policies.
5. Governance and Oversight
Oversight of this policy rests with the appropriate WYA governance and administrative bodies. The policy is subject to periodic review to ensure ongoing alignment with international best practices, regulatory expectations, and organizational objectives.
6. Policy Review and Amendments
World Yoga Alliance reserves the right to amend this policy as necessary to reflect evolving governance standards, operational requirements, or regulatory obligations. Updated versions will be published through official WYA communication channels.
